Their back . . .

Every year, once the lights go out at night, racoons seem to gravitate to our garbage pails. This year is no exception. The big crash I just heard was a racoon trying to get into our garbage pails. I looked outside and sure enough, there he was. He ran away when I turned the light on, but now he is back. This is a picture of last years racoon.

What could that racoon want in the pail that seems so enticing? Let me think - well I threw out a steak today that was too big for Justin to finish - maybe that's it. We had leftover chicken from the Spare Rib that I threw out as well. If I had a dog I could just give the leftovers to the dog and not throw them in the pail, but I don't have a dog.

And these racoons always stay for the whole summer. I wonder where they go during the day. Its kind of creepy because I plan on having a very late night on Friday (going out with the girls). I hope that racoon isn't there when I get home.
